Is your Vectorworks file ready for what's next?

A structured audit of your event or venue drawing. We assess your native Vectorworks file across ten areas, grade it out of 100 on a five band maturity scale, and take you through where it stands, what it is costing you, and what to fix first.

We score event and venue drawings across ten areas and roll them into one grade. Most land in the bottom two bands. The band ranges shown are indicative.

The problem

Most drawings are a mess that built up over years

You can work in the file, but not quickly. Anyone new needs a long handover, or a long session working out how it is set up, before they can do anything useful. And nobody is quite sure what is safe to touch.

The file drifted there through staff changes and event after event. The current team inherited it. The audit puts a clear, objective number on where it actually stands.

What the audit typically finds

Common in inherited event and venue files.

01

Hundreds of classes, and a handful actually in use.

02

Three people's naming habits stacked on top of each other.

03

A symbol library full of machine junk like Symbol-52 and Group-100-1.2.

04

A plan that floats off the satellite image the moment you overlay one.

Why it matters: a picture is not a model

A picture

Lines and polygons

Only a human can read it. Nothing in the file knows what it is. There is no data underneath, just shapes that happen to look right on screen.

A model

Objects that carry data

Made of objects that know what they are. A fence is a fence, a truss is a truss, each one carrying the information behind it. That is what everything downstream needs.

AI, automation, scheduling tools and a digital twin can do nothing with a picture. Until the file becomes a model, every event starts from guesswork rather than data. The audit measures how far the file is from that line, and what it will take to cross it.

How the audit works

Step 1

Book and upload

Choose a time and submit your native Vectorworks file with the booking. The native file is required. A PDF or an export cannot be assessed.

Step 2

We run the audit

We assess ten areas of the file and combine them into a single maturity grade out of 100, on the five band scale from No System to Strong.

Step 3

Debrief call

A call covering the grade, the three or four findings that matter most, and what each one is costing you.

Read only and confidential. We never touch, share or reuse your drawing. It stays yours. The audit runs on a copy and the file goes no further than the audit itself.

Read real audit reports

The same format you receive for your own file: the grade, the band, and the findings that matter.
